At White River Credit Union, we’re all about supporting our local community, which starts with our teens! We proudly offer the White River Credit Union Linda Kleppe-Olson (LKO) Scholarship to graduating seniors from White River and Enumclaw High Schools each year. This $500 scholarship helps cover the costs of higher education and is just one way we invest in the future of our community.
Scholarship details
- Eligibility: This is open to White River Credit Union members who are the primary account holders. The account must be open for at least three months before the application deadline.
- Award: Two scholarships of $500 each.
- Applications open: September 1st
- Application deadline: June 30th
- Scholarships will be awarded by August 31

About Linda Kleppe-Olson
For 21 remarkable years (1988 – 2009), we were privileged to have Linda Kleppe-Olson as the President/CEO of White River Credit Union. Linda dedicated over 37 years to the credit union industry, embodying the motto “not for profit, not for charity, but for service” in every aspect of her work.
Born and raised in Buckley, WA, and a proud White River High School graduate, Linda always prioritized community service and the importance of education, especially financial literacy. To honor her retirement in 2009 and her remarkable service, White River Credit Union awards a $500 scholarship annually to graduating seniors from White River and Enumclaw High Schools.
