Things are getting pretty serious.
As a member-owner of White River Credit Union, you’re the Napoleon to our Pedro. And just like Napoleon Dynamite, when it comes to our annual election, you’ve got some real influence. Instead of voting for Pedro, you’ll elect the members responsible for guiding WRCU to success.
The 2024 Elections will be conducted online. To cast your vote from home, internet access is required, or you can visit the WRCU lobby to vote in person.
Make your wildest dreams come true; check out the candidates on the ballot and cast your vote! The Annual Membership Meeting will be held on April 19, at 5:00 p.m., in the lobby of WRCU.

In a word, opportunity. It offers the chance to understand the credit union’s impact on our local community and to educate myself on financial best practices.

How I serve our community:
Community service has been a significant part of my life, influenced by my dad’s involvement in the Enumclaw Kiwanis Food Bank. I’ve worn many hats in giving back, from coaching youth basketball and baseball to organizing a successful golf tournament that raised over $5,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Currently serving on the City of Enumclaw Planning Commission, I contribute to shaping policies and services that preserve our community’s values. As a proud father of EHS’s former FFA (Future Farmers of America) President, we organized and hosted the annual dinner and auction, preparing food and crafting unique auction items to create a memorable experience for both FFA and our community.
Professionally, I’ve been a math teacher at EMS and baseball coach for both EMS and EHS. In my current role as the Dean of Students for a middle school in Bonney Lake, I focus on making a positive impact, especially with at-risk youth on the Enumclaw/Buckley/Bonney Lake Plateau. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or influencing our community, it’s about creating positive change.
My act in a school talent show would be:
An old-school rap battle featuring ’80s and ’90s classics like Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “My Posse’s on Broadway,” Vanilla Ice’s “Ice, Ice, Baby,” and “Bust a Move” by Young MC.
Being a member of WRCU matters to me because:
It provides another avenue to positively influence and preserve the Enumclaw community. As recent “empty-nesters,” my wife and I, both educators with more time on our hands, seek philanthropic opportunities, and WRCU offers a meaningful way to give back. In education, the notion that “you’re not doing it for the money” signifies a choice to serve others, and joining the WRCU Board of Directors serves a similar purpose in my life.
